Black History Month - Modern Women

February 1 marks the beginning of Black History Month. Mod.Life® is committed to diversity and inclusion of people, of all backgrounds and nationalities, and this month we will give special tributes and celebrations of cool black women (and black men, too) who have done some pretty amazing contributions to society. We will celebrate black artists, painters, songwriters, filmmakers, literary writers, and fashion designers from the black community.  We believe as MODern women, that diversity in people, culture, ideas, and personalities is what makes us better! Our Founder, Jennifer Abernethy recently saw Tina Turner, The Musical at the National Theater in Washington DC in January 2025. and said it “was one of the best stories and shows I have ever seen. The resilience of Tina Turner was astounding and truly empowering!”
